What's up?
6:21 AM
Hey you!
It has been 2.5 months since I left my day job and I am enjoying my freelance life!
Life has been pretty eventful lately and I have never been this much happy.
It's been months since my last update so why not make a round up of some sort, eh?
As soon as I knew that I would be free as a bird last August, I scheduled LOTS of workshops, and partnered up with brands and collaborated with friends.

I was invited by a friend (hi Arence!) to hold a workshop at their school in Muntinlupa. Yes, this north girl goes South!
I created a short workshop for them. We used ink and brush to do our lettering. To be honest, I love teaching kids. I can see how interested and curious they are.

A week after, I launched a different workshop module last September 30. We digitized our Brush Pen Calligraphy while devouring our yummy snacks from Cafe Mithi.
I enjoyed this group. They were so active and passionate. They were asking questions! YAY.

Sharpie goodies!
I was also invited by Sharpie last October 14 and 15 to create bookmarks for our friends at the SM Stationery ArtFest. I met new friends and made tons of bookmarks for everybody! I think I gave away around 70 to 80 bookmarks for those two days. Ah!

A week after, I went to Baguio!
What for? AHHHH!
For a workshop! Yup, it has been my goal to conduct workshops outside Metro Manila. I conducted one last April 2017 in Albay and here is my next city..

I was able to hold two (!!!) workshops last October 21 - 22. I had eleven students for the first session and seven participants for the second one.

I am actually considering to go back there early next year. To be honest, most of the participants want me to teach a different module so they could join again, and I say, why not coconut?

I am planning to visit other places next year as well.. On top of my list are Cebu City, Davao City... Let's see.. Let's see..

After the Baguio workshop, I did some commission works for different clients and some friends. I conducted a few private workshops but most of all.. I also prepared for... *drum rolls!*
the BGC Art Mart!

Day 1
Last November 25 and 26, I joined the BGC ArtMart. The last time I actually sold my merch was exactly a year ago so I was pretty much excited! I have always loved bazaars and tiangges (they have a special place in my heart tbh).

From Where I Stand: Day 1 and Day 2
To be honest, the place was a bit off for the event. There were less people compared to last year and I'm blaming the chosen venue. I still had fun though. I met some followers and online friends. I met new acquaintances. Most importantly, I never thought that people would actually love my works.

Day 2 self, functioning with 3 hours of sleep
I may not look enthusiastic but deep inside, happy emotions were overflowing! I was just too tired then heh.
I just want to thank everyone who visited my booth and to those who bought my merch :)

Phew, that was one hell of an update!
I have three upcoming workshops this weekend and I am just too excited.
I think 2017 will end with me still being a freelance artist (too weird for me to call myself an artist ugh). I've never been this happy.
Until next time!
