Hello, Iloilo!
5:56 PMLast July, my sister and I went to Iloilo. Just to have a short vacation. Just to have a break.

Waiting game at the airport
Once we arrived in Iloilo, we checked in at our hotel then of course......... first things first...
We had a great lunch at Buto't Balat. Their food was amazing. Basically, went out really contented and happy. It immediately went to my favorite restau list :-(
My sister and I just decided to go explore the city that day. And as always, let the photos speak for themselves.
Roberto's is famous for its siopao so of course we just have to???
Our DIY tour ended up at Molo Mansion. We managed to commute around the city so that's a good thing. Quick merienda before we headed back at our hotel!
Dinner for our first night was of course..... La Paz Batchoy! :-)

Good morning from this big siopao from Roberto's
For our second day, Jean and I decided to visit Miagao (!!!). I have been wanting to visit Miagao since I was in high school as I know that 1) UP Visayas, hello 2) too much good stuff I've been hearing.
We rode a jeep from Iloilo City to Miagao. First stop was, of course, the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Santo Tomas de Villanueva Parish Church or also known as the Miagao Church.
It was stunning.
After offering our prayers, next stop was... of course. UP Visayas :-(
That feeling of visiting another campus... huhu my heart. UP Visayas - Miagao campus was actually one of my dream campuses. I remember my grade 9 days.
Beach inside your campus? What a concept :-(
Every local that we've talked to told us to go to Garin Farm. It wasn't in our itinerary but since we were already in Miagao, and we have about an extra hour or so.. we did.
We walked... and walked.... and walked...
Here's what you'll see when you hike that pilgrimage.
It was a nice place, yes. It was just too hot that it was blinding. I mean, the place was literally all white so imagine.. :-(
We went back to the city after to have our lunch.

Baked fucking oysters again, yaah boi.
We also had lechon, 'coz y nut :-(
Then, that's the end of our Iloilo stay! We went to Guimaras after, but that's a different story. Heh.
Until next time!
P.S.
